Roy Drusky
A singer/songwriter who enjoyed great success in the 1960's and 1970's with his easy going and smooth style. Roy Drusky's music was a blend of country music and elements of of a pop flavored easy listening sound. Many of his recordings were filled with strings while others more relied on the strict country music formula, including the usual great work of Lloyd Green on steel guitar.
Some of Roy Drusky's hits from that era include "Where The Blue And Lonely Go", "Such A Fool" and "Long, Long Texas Road". Lloyd Green also can be heard on the #1 hit for Roy and Priscilla Mitchell, "Yes Mr. Peters" from 1965.
